In the lead-up to the 70th anniversary of the Kokoda campaign the Air Niugini National Marketing Manger reached out to Adventure Kokoda to seek their assistanc in honouring the occassion.
Armstrong’s ambitious proposal was screen a map of Kokoda on the side of a new aircraft they were about to purchase; invite legendary Australian singer, John Williamson, to sing ‘True Blue’ at the Anzac Dawn Service; fund a commemorative supplement in the Weekend Australia; and invite Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, to host a fundraising dinner for our Network Kokoda foundation at Parliament House.
We agreed to support his proposal by providing copyright material and heritage advice on a pro-bono basis.
